Rev. James K. Thompson: Senior Pastor

Pastor Thompson is a graduate of Bethel College. He began his ministry at Warren Community Church in 1993. Prior to that, he pastored and started churches in Laingsburg (Lansing area), California and various suburbs north of Detroit. He grew up and received the call to ministry while attending this church (then called Dakota Avenue Missionary Church). He is married with six children and five grand children. Cathy and her family moved to Michigan and joined the church in 1997. After serving as a volunteer Secretary for two years she became part of the church staff and is currently working part time. Her husband Mark currently serves as Vice-Chairman of the Church Board and is the Evangelism Committee Chairman. They have three children; Jason (who plays guitar in the worship band and helps with the R.O.C.K. Youth Ministry), Jennifer (who helps with the R.O.C.K. Youth Ministry) and Janae.
